Deferment Support & Advice… March 2021
March to May is traditionally a busy period for deferment applications; please find below some useful information that may assist you with your application:
The deferment threshold is currently ?30,646 (equivalent to ?2,553.83 per month).
If your account is already deferred, please note that new deferment forms are automatically issued by the Student Loans Company approximately 8 weeks prior to the end date of your current deferment period. We advise that if you have not received your form within 4 weeks of your end date that you contact us by email at email@example.com.
Your deferment application should be returned by post to the Student Loans Company in the pre-addressed envelope provided within 14 days of receipt of your deferment pack. Returning the form direct to the Student Loans Company will ensure that it is processed quickly and efficiently. To ensure safe delivery it is recommended that your application is returned by recorded delivery.
