Lockhart crash report raises questions about the speed of the helicopter’s movements and flight of the airplane, and a lack of clear information about what caused the pilot and the pilot’s wife to crash, the NTSB found.
Citing NTSB documents, Air Force investigators discovered that the pilot’s wife did not get back in the helicopter “until about 30 minutes after takeoff,” which did not indicate flight planning.
